in memory of Rod
We all remember 22 years ago on May 9th and what we were doing. Ken you were on your way to CA to stay with Gramoon. I was visiting with Bertha Wheeler when my EMT radio went off for a possible code black at Rod Moon's I remember hoping it was actually a car wreck and whoever called the ambulance said Rod Moon's place for the location. Actually Laura VanDenBos had gone to see why he had not shown up for work.

ReplyDeleteWorking at Marias bty salon on a Saturday afternoon. Mim called and told me the horrible news. I told her I didn't have time for this crap and it was not funny.She started crying and I knew it was real. He had been in town 2 days earlier and was so stressed out over seeding. He hated that part of farming the most. He said he should go get drunk.I looked at him funny and he laughed and then said Can I borrow some money for a can of coffee. I said "Good choice"!
ReplyDeleteI have dreams of him and Mom and she is always missing from our lives. We are getting along without her Bozo and Rod are always causing trouble though. Then she re-appears always with a boyfriend. LOL
